Avocado. If the middle classes of Britain had a national flag then it would probably have a big picture of an avocado on it, we love it so much.
Maybe because it’s one of the few foods that is actually good for you and is also creamy and delicious.
‘It’s a good fat,’ we say, defensively, clutching an enormous avocado and bacon club sandwich. We put it in everything, from chocolate mousse to green juice and every single brunch dish ever.
